Ivex Pharmaceuticals is a manufacturing facility located in Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. We are a manufacturer of Sterile Fluids for human and veterinary use. Our facility is MCA, FDA and ISO 9000 approved.

Background

1975: Galen Research Laboratories was founded.
Product licences were developed and approved for large and small volume parenterals in PVC containers ranging in size from 50ml to 1000ml.
1983: Galen Research Laboratories merged with Ivex to broaden business with the introduction of topical fluids in polypropylene containers. The markets targeted were UK National Health Service and exporting to Africa and the Middle East.
1990 - 1995: Ivex focused its business on Contract Manufacturing.
1995 - Present: Our team continues to develop relationships with many international companies in the Infusion, Dialysis and Urology sectors. We specialize in working along side our partners to develop niche opportunities through new projects and products.
2000 - 2003: In an effort aimed at preparing to enter the US market, Ivex made significant investments to our facility to meet the standards of the United States Food and Drug Administration.
May 10, 2004: The business of Ivex Pharmaceuticals was purchased by Gambro Northern Ireland, Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gambro AB and an affiliate of Gambro BCT, Inc.
July 11, 2008: The business underwent a name change to CaridianBCT Northern Ireland, Ltd, an affiliate of CaridianBCT, Inc.
